An exhibition of icons by Japanese artist Hiroko Kozuki opened at the IOPS

The Museum of the History of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society (IPOS) in Moscow is hosting the exhibition ‘Treasures of the Divine World: Japanese Icons of Hiroko Kozuki’.

The exhibition, held with the support of the International Chodiev Foundation, features 25 icons. They were painted by the Japanese artist Hiroko Kozuki in full accordance with the ancient canons of Russian icon painting. As the wife of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Russia, Hiroko Kozuki spent many years studying the Russian language and culture, visiting temples and monasteries.

The exhibition of icons of Hiroko Kozuki at the IOPS will last until November 9.
