XVI annual conference of the Association of Japanese Studies

On 14 December 2023, MGIMO hosted the XVI annual conference of the Association of Japanologists, one of the main annual events in the field of Japanese studies. The conference discussed the key areas of the Association’s activities for the year, as well as existing and future projects in the field of studies of Japan.

Within the framework of the conference, supported by the ICF, groups worked in the following areas: ‘History and Culture of Japan’, ‘Foreign and Domestic Policy of Modern Japan’, ‘Economy and Society of Modern Japan’, as well as a special section ‘Historical Grievances in Japan’s Relations with Neighbouring Countries’.
