Tashkent hosts the Third Eurasian Cup in Intellectual Games
On August 10-11, Tashkent hosted the Third Eurasian Cup in Intellectual Games.
The event included tournaments in the sports version of the famous game What? Where? When?”, the Own Game” individual tournament and Hamsa” team quiz, which is gaining popularity.
The tournament brought together 28 teams from 10 countries, such as Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Germany, Latvia and others. It has become a platform not only for intellectual competitions, but also for a fruitful exchange of experience at the international level and the opportunity to introduce new players to the masters of intellectual games. Among the distinguished guests were outstanding players of What? Where? When?”.
The organizer of the tournament is the International Chodiev Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1996 by Patokh Chodiev, a native of Uzbekistan. Activities of the Foundation are designed to contribute to the happy childhood of youth, to diversify their lives, as well as help the younger generation to fully realize their potential.
Following the two-day competition, the strongest teams and players were identified who became holders of honorary awards. At the main event tournament of the game What? Where? When?”, the winners and silver medalists became Uzbekistan representatives. The Mystery team won the championship, and the KAD team took the honorable second place. Maxim Kraynov from Latvia became the winner in the individual tournament Own Game”, and the Athena team won the Hamsa quiz.
