We are together: Charity project aimed at supporting the needy
Ministry of Justice has been implementing “We are together” social project since 2018 in order to provide social protection and support to the population. Within its framework, special attention is paid to the provision of social and material assistance to vulnerable groups of the population.
In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, some restrictions on movement of citizens have been introduced, and as a result, the demand for providing basic necessities of food to especially vulnerable segments of the population, that is, low-income families, single elderly people, persons with disabilities and unemployed, is increasing.
In such a situation, the International Chodiev Foundation expressed its willingness to contribute to measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and to provide material assistance to low-income groups of the population at the first stage.
As a result of studies conducted by the Ministry of Justice, together with the representative office of the International Chodiev Foundation in Uzbekistan and Madad non-governmental non-profit organization, over 1,500 families in need were identified in the country. With the support of the foundation, humanitarian aid kits have been formed, including 13 types of primary food products and medical supplies.
