‘Children of Russia’ Photo Award is taking place

The ‘Children of Russia’ Photo Competition is taking place these days. The online voting is open to all and will close on 30 May 2021 (10 pm Moscow time). This annual contest is organised by the Russian Guild of Interethnic Journalism and supported by the International Chodiev Foundation (ICF).

‘Children of Russia’ aims to demonstrate the continuity of generations, and the beauty and cultural diversity of the peoples of Russia through traditional costume and photography. The goal is also to raise interest in the revival of folk culture in families. The artists from the entire country have submitted their entries. The winners will be announced on 1 June 2021. Prizes are awarded on the basis of online voting, as well as voting by a jury. Olga Monakhova, Head of the ICF Representative Office in Russia, is a member of the jury.

Alongside this contest ICF also supports the ’SMIrotvorets’ journalism competition and its special ‘Children and Youth-Focused Media’ nomination that is organised by the Guild of Interethnic Journalism as well. Having supported children and youth, as well as the development of intercultural and international exchanges, since its establishment in 1996, ICF shares the aspirations and values of ‘SMIrotvorets’ and ‘Children of Russia’ competitions.
