An award ceremony for the ICF-supported ‘SMIrotvorets’ journalism competition took place on 29 November. The competition distinguishes the best coverage of the interethnic and ethnoreligious relations and aims at journalists of local, regional and federal publications. ‘SMIrotvorets’ is organised by the Russian Guild of Interethnic Journalism.

There are eight nominations, with ICF supporting special ‘Children and Youth-Focused Media’ nomination.

The winners of this category are:

1st place – MKS TV channel (Novosibirsk),
2nd place – Udmurtiya TV channel (Izhevsk),
3rd place – METR TV channel (Yoshkar-Ola).

ICF also sponsors the ‘Children of Russia’ Photo Award which is organised by the Russian Guild of Interethnic Journalism as well.

Having supported children and youth, as well as the development of intercultural and international exchanges, since its establishment in 1996, ICF shares the aspirations and values of ‘SMIrotvorets’ and ‘Children of Russia’.

We would like to congratulate the winners of the competition and wish them further success in their endeavours!
